Help I have a Mac and the game doesn't launch, the icon bounces and then nothing happens.

Do you have a Retina display on your Mac? There's a known incompatibility in SDL that will cause this problem. We're still working on a permanent fix, but as a workaround for now, follow the instructions under the heading "How do I adjust the resolution of my Retina display?" here:

http://support.apple.com/en-is/HT5266

Change the selection next to Resolution to "Best for Display" and run the game again. If this doesn't work, set it to "Scaled" and experiment with the various scalings below (Larger text ... More space).

Help The game launches but the screen is huge, I can only see the 'Quit' button.

Follow the same instructions as the question above.

Help The game crashes but I don't see an error message.

Send us the game log as follows:

  1. Open the Finder on your Mac desktop.
  2. Go to the Menu Bar and select the "Go" Menu.
  3. Hold Down the Alt (Option) key on your keyboard. An extra option should appear in
the menu called "Library". Select it.
  4. From the window that opens, navigate to Containers » com.interactionstudios.xxx (where xxx is your game, for example 'ci5' for Chicken Invaders 5, or 'iw2' for Island Wars 2). If you have downloaded the game directly from the Apple Store, then the package will be named com.interactionstudios.osx.xxx instead.
  5. Right-click and select "Show package contents".
  6. From the window that opens, navigate to Data » Library » Application Support » InterAction studios »
    xxx » yyy
(where xxx is your game and yyy the version number).
  7. Send us the file xxx.log (where xxx is your game). If you see a file there named "crash.xxx.log" it's preferrable to send us that one instead of the regular log file.

Note: if you can't find the container in step (4), open the library again as in step (3) and navigate to Application Support » InterAction studios instead. If you see game files there, then you're running a very old version of our games and we would strongly recommend you upgrade to the latest version before proceeding.
